“Really Blaine, I don’t see what the big deal is.” Sebastian rolled his eyes fondly and opened his text book.

    Even though they went to different schools, Blaine and Sebastian worked on their homework together a few times a week. At first, it had been a bridge, a way for them to slowly become friends as they navigated through their senior years in high school. Blaine had been a mess at the beginning of the year— he and Kurt had broken up when Kurt left for New York and there was no guarantee that Blaine would be joining him when he graduated. He’d been looking at schools all over the country and he wasn’t sure where he wanted to go quite yet. He’d run into Sebastian at the Lima Bean a few days into the semester and he’d found the other boy easier to talk to now. Sebastian’s rough edges had dulled a bit in the past year and he wasn’t blatantly flirting with Blaine anymore. Blaine had been very cautious about spending time with him but as the year dragged on and he felt more and more alone at McKinley, he’d come to really appreciate Sebastian’s companionship.

    “You don’t know my brother, Seb. God, he came into town last year and everyone—even Kurt!—was falling all over themselves. Everyone loves him.” Blaine sighed. He completely expected Cooper to sweep in and put Sebastian under the same spell that everyone had fallen for last year. Just the thought of watching Sebastian flirt and bat his eyelashes at his brother made him feel sick to his stomach.

    “B, really? Have you ever met me before? I’m not like all of your other friends— I have dignity.”
